Glorious Christ is Coming Coon - Jesus is Coming Coon

>> Sunday, March 28, 2010

The glorious coming of the Lord Jesus is the climax of His salvation. Before He was crucified, Jesus told His disciples, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again” (Matt. 20:18–19). True enough, these words were later fulfilled. Then, before the Lord Jesus left His disciples, He comforted them, saying: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1–3). Jesus said that He would go to the Father to prepare a place for those who believe in Him, and that He would come back to receive them into glory.
